Janet S Goodell Talley

A Memorial Mass for Janet S. Talley, 63 of Millersport, will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 76 East Main Street, Newark, with Rev. Kathryn P. Clausen officiating. Private entombment will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Columbus.

Janet was born in Rockford, IL on November 7, 1945 to the late Floyd and Fannie (Steffan) Goodell. She passed away at her residence on August 22, 2009.

Janet received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Eastern Illinois University. Prior to retirement, she was a computer programmer with the Defense Logistics Agency for nearly 40 years. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Newark. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and was an avid reader.

Survivors include one sister, Carol (Edward) Welden of Albany, IL; step-son, Bobby (Gail) Talley of Plainfield, IL; step-daughter, Billie Jean (Stanley) Brown of Stone Mountain, GA; step-granddaughter, Tia Talley; niece, Peggy Welden of Milwaukee, WI; nephews, Michael Welden of Palm Springs, CA and Murray Welden of Stillman Valley, IL; and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Talley in 2008.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memorty of Janet to Trinity Episcopal Church in Newark.
